Oort Kuiper
Oort Kuiper is a rapper and performer who has made a living writing and performing science based raps for audiences across the UK and Europe. He's been rapping professionally for more than 15 years and for fun for two decades. He started as a DJ in the mid 90s then went on to dabble in breakdancing and a little spontaneous beatboxing. His style would best be described as bouncing between story-telling, edutaining, conscious, playful and wordplay.
Previously a member of the Connections Crew, based in South Wales, with Dj Risk1 (https://risk1beats.bandcamp.com) providing all the beats. Mostly appearing as features on tracks, since the crew went their separate ways, he will be reappearing in 2025 with a few planned EP releases.

Rogue Tactics Feat. Oort Kuiper - Temptation
Temptation, featured on the Mr. Selfish EP, is a track I produced with a focus on creating a rich, dynamic soundscape. I crafted the hook and wrote my verses to bring a strong melodic structure and dynamic phrasing to the piece. Oort Kuiper contributed a sharp 16-bar verse and layered in additional ad-libs that added harmonic depth and a sense of interplay throughout the track. My approach to the production was all about building tension and release, using atmospheric textures and precise rhythmic elements to reflect the theme of resisting control. This project was an opportunity to combine technical skill with narrative-driven music.
Oort Kuiper Feat. Rogue Tactics - Anatomy
For Anatomy, I had the opportunity to collaborate with Oort Kuiper on a track that explores the intricate processes of the human body. We traveled to Birmingham to shoot the video in a single day, and I was asked to sing the hooks that Oort had written. The song is paired with a unique educational video that introduces high school students to the digestive and circulatory systems, featuring actual footage of animal internal organs dissected by anatomist Sam Piri. Sam's expertise in anatomy, along with his successful appearance on BBC's Dragon’s Den, where he showcased his live anatomy and physiology exhibitions, adds a fascinating depth to the project. His training programs, delivered to NHS Trusts, universities, and schools across the UK, provide valuable educational context that complements the track's theme.
